Having Fun by the Promenade this Summer


With summer finally here, it’s time for vacations, hanging out with friends, and going out with the family! So, stay tuned for these local and fun events!

Upcoming July 4th Holiday

The Dogfishhead Takeover hosted by the Sandlot will beon Thursday, July 4th at 2:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased in advance online to avoid wait times. Adult coverage is $10, whereas children 12 and under are $5. Enjoy the best 4th of July party yet with amazing views of the fireworks over the water! The Sandlot will be playing live music, providing great Dogfish Head brews, and local ice cream from The Charmery!

The Red, White, & Zoo! hosted by the Maryland Zoo will be on Thursday, July 4th from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. This kid-friendly event will be creating a day of animal enrichment, from Fourth of July treats and paper mache toys. This event is free with a Zoo membership, but tickets may be purchased online.

The July 4th Visionary Pets on Parade hosted by the American Visionary Art Museum will be on Thursday, July 4th from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. This event is free and open to all, so come enjoy cute puppies in their spectacular outfits! Friendly pets of any breed or kind are welcome, so bring your furry friends!

The Independence YAY at Bond Street Social will be on Thursday, July 4th at 8:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Tickets will cost $17.76 in our nation’s honor and will include access to the two-hour open-bar with finely mixed cocktails and domestic beers. Go out for a drink with friends and enjoy the fireworks!

The Rye on the River hosted by the Sagamore Pendry Baltimore will be on Thursday, July 4th from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Come enjoy some live entertainment while sipping on some refreshing cocktails over the view of the water.

Mindfulness and Fitness

Poolside Yoga hosted by the Sagamore Pendry Baltimore will be on Saturday, June 29th at 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. Practice your mindfulness and balance poolside with BeachFit’s talented instructors and specialists. Tickets are $20 and it is encouraged that attendees bring their own mats and water.

The Boozy Bootcamp hosted by the Sandlot will be on Saturday, June 29th from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A $10 ticket covers an amazing and toning beach workout by Brick Bodies’ instructors and personal trainers. Afterwards, the Sandlot will provide you with either wine or beer…on the house!

Sunset Yoga hosted by the Sandlot and Emily Fleming will be on Sunday, July 7th from 7:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Leader of Free Baltimore Yoga Emily Fleming will lead this yoga class of all levels while basking in the warm weather and sunset. Tickets cost $20 and attendees are encouraged to hang back after class to hangout, stick your toes in the sand, and sip on a cool beer to quench your thirst.

The Wellness Crawl & Festival presented by the Merritt Clubs will be on Saturday, July 13th from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Enjoy the free rooftop yoga session from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. and some freshly baked bagels afterwards. Purchase a ticket and meet new people, speak to professionals about obtaining a healthy lifestyle, and sample some products to improve personal wellness!

For the Foodies in Fells Point

The Tacos ‘N Taps Festival will be on Saturday, June 29th from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. This festival is all-you-care to taste beer and tequila! So, bring your friends to eat, drink, and relax while enjoying live music, pinata punching, and contests. Tickets for general admission cost $30 and VIP costs $70.

“Al Fresco!” hosted by Fell’s Point Main Street will be on Wednesday, July 3rd from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Enjoy the local artists, shops, and eateries lined along the 800 Block of Broadway. Some businesses present on July 3rd will include: Psychic Boutique, Vagabond Theater, The Seasoned Olive, Insomnia Cookies, Woody’s Cantina, After Midnight, and more!

The Little Italy Food Tour hosted by the Little Italy Neighborhood Association will be on Sunday, July 28th at 5:00 p.m. This progressive dinner will promote the comfort of Italian cuisine, without the heavy loads of gluten and carbs.  Events in Canton

The Baltimore Water Lantern Festival hosted by the Canton Waterfront Park will be on Saturday, July 6th from 5:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. This eco-friendly event is rated #1 for Best Cultural Festival by USA Today…and with good reason! Come enjoy some peace, mindfulness, and stunning views of glowing lanterns over the water! Tickets range from $25-$40 in price depending on the date which they are purchased online.

The First Thursday Fest with Van Hunt, Black Pumas, and more will be on Thursday, July 11th from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Located on the Canton Waterfront Park, come discover new interesting and indie live music while enjoying local food and drink vendors! Feel free to even bring children to this event!

Events Downtown

Artscape will be occurring on July 19th until July 21st from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Come enjoy local artists and amazing installations, galleries, films, performances, literary arts, and cultural organizations. Walk down Mount Royal Avenue and Charles Street with your friends to enjoy the largest free arts festival in the region!

Billy Joel is performing at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Friday, July 26th at 8:00 p.m.! Tickets range from $49.50 to $159.50 on Ticketmaster, so purchase a ticket for you and your friend to sing your heart out to Uptown Girl or Piano Man.
